3voor12 calls number the The Is song of the year
The number Make The Call, Leave It All of the Nijmeegse rock band The State is declared to be 3voor12 Song of the Year. That was Friday night announced during a show from TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht.
The audience chose the number, online a top 10 to put together a longlist of 332 numbers this year were fulfilled.
Own favorites that are not on this list were, could be specified. It came to Make The Call, Leave It All out as the winner. The song is from the album O, which in January came out.
The State is the sixth Dutch artist the 3voor12 Song of the Year wins. Previous winner are the Osdorp Posse (1998), Krezip (2000), Johan (2001), the Kyteman (2009) and Dotan (2014). Last year, the Australian psychedelic rock band Tame Impala, with the title run off for their single Let It Happen.
Behind The State ended up Radiohead (Burn The Witch) and David Bowie (Lazarus) on the second and third place. The highest ranked Dutch-language track comes behind it: Brotherhood is with Jungle at number four. The Rotterdam-based group is also on nine with I was already inside. Other artists in the top ten include former winners Red Hot Chili Peppers and Editors.
The 3voor12 Song of the Year since 1985 are presented. The highlights of the show will be Saturday night on NPO 3 broadcast.
