BRYAN, Texas – A second man has been arrested for a supermarket robbery in which a south Texas police officer was shot.
The police in Bryan says the 31-year-old Jonathon Deshawn Bradley was arrested near Grimes County and is charged with aggravated robbery for the holdup early Thursday. Another 31-year-old, Rafeal Antione Ginn, was arrested earlier.
The officer, wearing a protective vest when shot, was treated at a hospital for minor injuries and released.
The police says the robbery happened when a group of participants to the store and one of them pulled out a firearm. They took some money and fled.
The police have not said if a man arrested is the suspected shooter.
Bryan is about 90 miles northwest of Houston and adjacent to College Station, home of Texas A&M University.
