23 soldiers killed in bomb attack in Egypt
In a bomb attack on a checkpoint of the army in Northern Sinai on Friday 23 Egyptian soldiers including a colonel killed, according to security sources. There were 26 soldiers wounded.
Two vehicles have been by suicide bombers to blast brought when they passed the checkpoint reason in an area between Rafah and Sheikh Zuweid. The responsibility for the attack is claimed by Islamic State.
Egypt is suffering from a revolt under the leadership of Islamic State in the northeast of the Sinai peninsula.
Hundreds of soldiers and police since 2013 killed. In that year, the islamist elected president Mohamed Mursi after massive protests by soldiers and driven away.
