2020 democratic presidential candidate Rep. Tim Ryan said his party should push for Medicare for All.
Quite a few Democrats vying for their party’s 2020 presidential nomination are suitable for mounting on Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders’ Medicare for All plan, but at least the pumps of the brakes and to show the political error.
Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Ohio, said that, while he is in favor of a “public option” for health care, the adoption of a plan to eliminate the people of the existing private health insurance is the way to go.

“I am not for the inclusion of private health insurance away,” Ryan said on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” adding, “We cannot be a party in a General election, with the private health insurance away from the members of the union in some of these States, that the negotiation of the right to good health-care plans for themselves.” Ryan noticed that the unions sacrificed may be “wages in the course of the negotiations to a good health care plan.”
Ryan claims that Medicare for All the work in the future would be, but said the United States can not system directly from the existing private health insurance. He suggested that the “natural next step” would be a public option that people could choose to buy, and then “any kind of a Medicare for All system at some point.”
The Ohio Congressman also discussed the medical care for those in the US illegally. During the second night of the debates, which gave all of the ten participants, that their own government health care would cover plans for illegal immigrants.
Ryan said that while he would grant that these people, “thinks some basic care”, he covers them in the context of Medicare is a whole other conversation we need”.”
Another Problem is, where Ryan is more on the center than others in his party, such as the ongoing crisis at the U.S.-Mexican border. While some Democrats such as New York, Alexandria Ocasio-called Cortez, for the abolition of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Ryan said, more resources are needed.
“No one’s gonna secure the border better than I am,” Ryan said. “I want to make sure we have enough staff down there.”
Ryan also pointed out what he believes is the real problem, which is that so many people escape the need to, their home countries in the first place.

“Why are these people migrating to the United States? Since gangs are running, in Honduras and in Guatemala and El Salvador,” he said. “This is how a real President would say, ‘Let’s get to the root of the problem, we fix it so these people can stay in their own homes in Central America.'”
