Law enforcement sources told the Times Union the two men were taken to the police Friday in Schenectady.
A property manager discovered the four victims murdered in a basement apartment in Troy, NY.
The police started to probe the two men, after looking over surveillance footage from cameras in the city.
The Times Union reported the victims were discovered by officials with their hands and ankles bound, and seemed to have had their throats cut.” The two children were discovered together in a kneeling position with the head and chest on a bed.”
The police found a bloody knife at the crime scene, and another knife close to the victims.
The police are not communicated immediately what the motive was.
John Tedesco, Troy’s chief of police, pointed to the gruesomeness of the scene during a press conference Wednesday.
“After being in this business for 43 years, I can not describe the cruelty of a person who would do this,” Tedesco said. “I don’t think there’s any doubt that a person who for this crime is capable of anything.”
He added: “the number of people killed, the way they were killed. And the children are involved.”

Isaiah Smith, the surviving son of Myers, told reporters Thursday he was afraid that he would be targeted by his family of the murderer(s).
“I’m afraid to go to the shop around the corner,” Smith told reporters Thursday. “I’m not sure if they come for me.”
The gruesome murders shocked the small community just north of Albany. Symes pleaded for answers in the mysterious killings.
