CLEVELAND – A judge offers a $1 million bond for a Cleveland woman charged with murder after telling authorities that her 5-year-old son, his body was buried.
Thirty-four-year-old Larissa Rodriguez appeared Friday in Cleveland Municipal Court. The police says Rodriguez, the mother of nine children, was Monday arrested after police got a tip that she and her friend had buried her mentally handicapped son, Jordan, in their garden.
The police says that he died Sept. 22.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office has not established that the remains found on Tuesday or indicated a cause of death. Researchers say that the body of an apparent child is found during the search had injuries that included broken ribs.
Court records do not indicate whether Rodriguez has a lawyer.
The county has taken custody of four of Rodriguez’s children.
