LAWRENCE, Ind. – A 14-year-old boy died after they shot in the head during a fight at another teenager’s birthday party in a suburb of Indianapolis.
Lawrence police Deputy director Gary Woodruff said Friday that Daron Johnson was taken off life-support Thursday night has died. Daron was declared brain dead earlier this week.
Police said a fight between two people in the club house of the Lions Club in Lawrence culminate in a fight between two groups Saturday night. A number of shots were fired.
Four others between the ages of 11 and 14 were injured. The police do not believe Daron was involved.
A 14-year-old boy was arrested and another teen is being sought. The police are investigating.
Woodruff says, “nothing good results from the 14-year-olds carrying guns to a party.”
