Innovation is very difficult. It takes a good understanding of the industry and what’s going to help out the customers the most. It requires a good understanding of technology trends and what is possible. And it is the pushing of the envelope, at the risk of confusing your customers.

In the past few years I have tested a variety of products, from the use of new and innovative features. Here are my top picks.

1. Tempurpedic Tempur-breeze Mattress ($4,499)

Tempurpedic Tempur-breeze Mattress

The special feature of this high tech mattress and foundation is that it stays cool throughout the night, it will help you sleep better. You can also use the remote control to increase the cooling level, and after that, the mattress absorbs your body heat. It’s like a cradle of softness.

2. iRobot Roomba S9+ Robot Vacuum cleaner ($1,400)

The most important innovation of the new S9+ is that it always has. No, not really, but it’s vacbot you can go back to the basics and to empty its content. You can also select a specific area to be cleaned with the help of an app, and the AI will learn your room’s coordinates, and enhances the cleaning of the passage of time. My favorite feature? You can also make use of the Amazon So as to tell the robot to turn it off.

3. Oculus Quest is a VR Headset ($399)

As a self-contained virtual-reality headset — meaning, there is no need for a PC or a phone — the Oculus Quest, it is a marvel of engineering. I used to play the game, “the Father is Immortal,” and I thought that I was in the same room as the Sith Lord. The audio is nice and loud and realistic. Another surprise is that there is a new experimental feature allows you to read the movements of the hands — not of the controllers is required.

4. Somnox Sleep, Robot ($499)

There might be “weird” and “innovative” to go hand in hand. This sleep is a robot that helps you to relax if you have to change your own breathing-to the robot’s relief. It is designed to reduce stress, but when I tested it, and there is a relaxed sense of synchronicity — even for short naps.

5. Samsung Room Monitor ($370)

I’m all for any product that helps me to work faster and more efficiently. The Samsung Space and the Monitor folds out of the way when not in use, so that you can make a claim on your desk. If you need to have a job to do, and it folds down and stays in any position. The most brilliant part? In my testing, I started with my desk, reading, journaling, and other activities.

6. Dyson’s Lightcycle ($600)

This is not an ordinary task lamp. The Trademark Lightcycle automatically adjusts to the time of day, the adjustment of the color temperature and the brightness as of the sun. You can use the light bulb with a light touch of your finger in a random direction. An app that helps you customize the light to the task at hand.

7. We Can Make Temperature Control Travel Mug 2 ($180)

My favorite gadget of the year, and not just because it was tea-related, Travel Mug 2, coffee (or any liquid such as tea or cocoa hot for up to four hours — longer if you take the battery out-count to your desktop. An added Bonus, it’s also a great travel mug.

8. Fender Acoustasonic Telecaster Guitar ($2,000)

None of the other instruments I’ve tested it all the way to match the wow factor of the Fender Acoustasonic. With the flip of a switch and a button), you can emulate the sound of a big mahogany-body guitar, a small body made of spruce wood. The secret is to have a new pick-up, which faithfully mimics the tonal quality of the woods — plus, with a classic Fender Telecaster.

9. IKEA-Symfonisk table lamp ($179)

The combination of a lamp and a speaker, it is a good idea, but the experience Symfonisk is going to go a step further-it’s one of the best sounding speakers you can find, with a rich, deep tones. Well, it is a bright and stylish light bulb, at the same time. The installation was painless-with the Sonos-app.

10. Polk Legend-L800 Speakers ($2,999)

I’m still amazed at how audio technology is at an advanced stage. These are high-end speakers will make use of a technology called the PRO-SDA, in order to make your music come to life — they can mix it to stereo in such a way that it sounds more realistic and clear, as if the music were playing live in the room.
