1 dead, 2 barricaded amid the deadlock in New Hampshire hotel

New Hampshire’s attorney general’s office says a man has been killed in an officer-involved shooting, the police and the Drug Enforcement Agency agents in a hotel. Two people remain barricaded in a first floor.

Assistant Attorney General Ben Agati identified the man killed as 51-year-old Stephen Marshall, of Manchester, in a news conference early Thursday. Agati, says Marshall had a gun in his hand and “working” with the DEA agents and the police.

Marshall was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Agati, says the shooting happened around 7:30 pm, Wednesday at the Quality Inn in Manchester, near the Interstate 293 in a busy area with a shopping mall.

The police evacuated the hotel and a restaurant in the neighborhood.

No officers injured.

The officials say that there is still an active stand-off between the officers and the two people barricaded in the room as of Thursday morning.
