1.5 million Dutch people on autumn holidays

In the autumn draw this year is expected to be almost 1.5 million people out and about. That is an increase of 3 to 4 percent compared with the previous year, reported the Dutch Bureau for Tourism & Congresses (NBTC Holland Marketing) Thursday.

Approximately 700,000 people, according to the forecast, to go abroad for a short holiday. In addition, Belgium, Germany and France are the most popular. The rest choose a destination in their own country. Here are, in particular holiday parks popular, according to NBTC.

In the Netherlands it will be in the first week of the autumn, probably at its busiest with tourists. Then not only have the most Dutch are free, but are also a lot of Germans expected. For that week and hotels a lot of advance bookings received.

The autumn is spread; the regions North and Central have this year holiday from 15 to 23 October, the region South of 22 to 30 October.
